About the Therapist

Jenny Teasley is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a strengths-based therapeutic style. Jenny believes that we have all been in the valley at some point, and it can be a very lonely place, BUT with the right help and building a support system, it is possible to overcome this difficult time. Therapist's background includes serving in community mental health and private practice. Jenny also holds a Certification in Mental Health Therapy with DMH, Masters in Counseling, and Bachelors of Social Work. She started out providing school-based therapy to students in the Hinds County area. This included Group and Individual Therapy in the schools, as well as in-home Family Therapy. She then had an opportunity to participate in the program development of a grant-funded community-based program taking therapeutic services out into the Hinds County community to both adults and children with serious mental illnesses. Currently, she serves as Therapist Team Lead at a Community Mental Health Center and has the opportunity to invest in the lives of other Therapists while working alongside them to provide Intakes and Psychotherapy to individuals with diagnoses such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, and more. As a presenter, Jenny has presented to CIT Officers on Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as general Youth Mental Health Disorders. Strength in Season Counseling, LLC is currently serving patients from Copiah County, Hinds County, Rankin County, and is accepting new clients from surrounding areas.
